WBIR-TV, Channel 10 is the NBC affiliate in Knoxville. The station began its long service to East Tennessee in 1956. In 1995, Channel 10 joined the Gannett Company Incorporated. Gannett Broadcasting consists of 22 television stations reaching 17.4 percent of the U.S. television market.
