We take this opportunity to give you some idea about our Mandal and its activities.
We have been working in the field of education ever since the establishment of the Trust in the year 1964. Starting with two classes of std. VIII step-by-step, we achieved downward and upward integration. We have now full fledge Gujarati Medium, Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools offering facilities for education from Jr. K.G. to std. XII. Besides, we have setup an English Medium Pre-Primary and Primary Schools providing education from the K. G. to std. VII.
We have also introduced the Computer education in Std. V to VII in the Primary School, Std. VIII, IX in the Secondary School and Std. XI in the Higher Secondary School from the last year.
We run technical institute for providing vocational training. It is offering training in nine trades, viz. (1) Draught’s Man Mechanic (2) Electronics Mechanics (3) Mechanic Radio TV (4) Wireman (5) Electrician (6) Computer Operator cum Programming Assistance- COPA (7) Fitter (8) Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance - IT (9) Refrigeration & Air-condition Mechanic – RFM on NCVT (I.T.I.) Pattern basis. All these courses barring that of COPA are two years’ duration.
Moreover our Computer Center is offering training in diverse packages like Windows NT, Visual Basic, JAVA, C++ etc.
In all 3000 students from Prantij and surrounding rural area are at present taking advantage of these facilities. Most of them are from backward communities.
Because of the priority given to the construction of a building and the acquisition of equipments for the vocational training courses coupled with the constraint of funds, our Secondary School Building had remained incomplete for number of years. We have now taken up this work it is in progress.
