The Gurghiu Forest School is located in Gurghiu village and was founded in 1 octombrie 1893 in the Bornemissza Castle. From 1970 the school is located in the actual building which was extended with a new two level flank in 2008-2008.
Now it has become one of the few and most esteemed Forest High-schools in Romania.
