Samadhi of Mani Rane

Mani Rane was the son of Topu Rane. He was the earliest entrepreneur of the Konkan Maratha community. He invested in Rice mills, during the the difficult times when getting permission to set up any enterprise involved lot of roadblocks. He was involved in local panchayat politics. He was also a great philanthrophist. He provided shelter to several people in his house during the flood ravage of 1962, even when his own resources were scarce.He was also a great Shikari( He was living in a time when man had to survive the vagaries of nature which included the denizens of the wild who preyed on their livestock)
