Century 21 theater (San Jose)

Built in 1963, the 21 & 22 theaters were host to many premiers including Grand Prix, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, as well as other films. Also converted in 1992 to "flat" screen to accommodate 35mm films, the 21 was the first Cinerama compatible theater in Northern California, the 3-strip, 3 projector, ultra-widescreen filming process abandoned in the late 60's.

After this it was converted into a Super 70mm screen.
