Pete Ucelli was the harbormaster of this former island. He passed away just a year ago or less. The place has a sign that is seen on returning to land. It says: "Welcome to the USA". As it happens, during Prohibition this was a speakeasy. The restaurant is also a naval museum, featuring stuff that Pete collected.

The number for the Harbormaster is 650-366-0922. Hours are 9am-4pm with lunch at 12:30-1:30pm. Guest slips are available on advance request by phone. Draft on the northern slough is 6 ft (1.8 m), and draft on the southern side is just over 5 ft (1.5 m).
