Oldest hotel in Shanghai. In operation on the site since 1846, current building constructed in 1860 and rebuilt in 1910. Occupied by the Japanese in 1937, as it was outside the International Settlement. Renamed Pujiang Hotel after the Revolution, reverted to its original name in 2002. It closed on 1/1/2018 to be converted to an exhibition center and offices for the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
