  • The Kentrikon Parthenagogeion (Central School for Girls) This school was set up by the Greek community of Smyrna in 1830 and for many years was housed near the Cathedral of Agia Photini. It later moved to a building on Gül Sokak. From 1900 it occupied a building on Meymaroğlu Sokak, which was replaced with an impressive new structure designed by the Athenian architect P. Karathanasopoulos between 1909 and 1912. It still surivives and is now known as the Atatürk Lisesi.
