    The Dappermarkt is a nominee for the 'Beste Markt van 2006' award. While smaller than the well known 'Albert Cuyp', it is also much more a locals only market, valued by Amsterdammers from around the city. Take streetcar 7, 9 or 14 or a local train to Muiderpoort station. Lots of places to go for drinks or something to eat. A modern classic is 'De Ponteneur', but 'East of Eden', 'Museum' and 'Spargo' are good places to hang out as well. See you in Oost!
