Falls Church is an independent city in Virginia with a population was 12,332 in 2010, up from 10,377 in 2000. 116,155 people reside in the Falls Church postal area, which includes the city itself as well as outlying areas in Fairfax County (Pimmit Hills, Idylwood, West Falls Church, Seven Corners, Lake Barcroft, and Bailey's Crossroads). The Bureau of Economic Analysis combines the city of Falls Church (along with Fairfax City) with Fairfax County for statistical purposes.
