New Iceland is a vaguely square-shaped volcanic island in the United Counties of Pastaland (UCP). It has a population of 2,000,000.

It includes several volcanoes, glaciers, geysers and hot water springs.

In March 2010, one of these volcanoes, New Eyjafjalla, erupted. It started with a small fissure eruption at New Fimmvörðuháls, followed by an eruption at New Eyjafjalla itself. The New Eyjafjalla eruption was worse, spurting huge amounts of ash into the atmosphere which closed Pastaland airspace and rained down on surrounding islands. Also, the island was evacuated after the glacier melted, which caused river water levels to suddenly rise. The eruption stopped in late May 2010 and people returned to the island, after a large-scale clean-up event, in late June 2010.

The whole island is a national park.

  • That sounds like it is very crowded. 2 million people on an island that is only 1.5 miles square? Wow! LOL <grin>
