Estate home built c. 1896 in the Long Island Farmhouse style on 11 acres for Louis Crawford Clark, III {financier}. Clark was a partner of the Clark, Dodge & Co. stock brokerage firm. His wife was Frances Stokes, the daughter of the prominent Philadelphia lumber baron and civic leader, Thomas P. C. Stokes.

Subsequently owned by Charles Payson Coleman {attorney}. Coleman served as a partner in the Davis, Polk & Wardwell firm and was the grandson of Charles Philip Coleman, the well known engineer and self-made millionaire. The property has since been subdivided in 2000 into 3 acre lots. Main house still extant but wing removed in the late 1970's and made into a secondary house at the far north west end of the property.
