This is a famous mountain range on the western side of madurai valley called Nagamalai ( Snake Hills ) , once Indra gelousy of the beatiful city of Madurai sent a huge snake to destroy madurai, but lord shiva to save Madurai city made this snake to a mountain range , Nagalamalai pulloothu is a tourist attraction where there is amall falls which is always cool and beautiful
