France / Midi-Pyrenees / Villefranche-de-Rouergue / Villefranche de Rouergue

On a high point of the limestone plateau two kms west of Villefranche, stands the Château de Graves, a small building still in its original state, built in the middle of the XVIth century by Jean Imbert d’Ardenne, a rich merchant and town consul.

It is rare to come across such architectural treasures of the second Renaissance surviving in such good condition down to the present day.
it currently is used as a YOuth and family vacation house for studies/sports and to help youth in the law courts system.
