The Gran Teatre del Liceu, or simply Liceu, is an opera house on La Rambla in Barcelona. The Liceu opened on April 4, 1847. It is one of the world's finest and biggest stage and acoustic settings for opera, and one of the most relevant opera houses in Spain.
The Opera house was destroyed in a fire in 1994 and rebuilt, the new building was finished in 1999.
