A Christian commune of celibate vegetarian monks who renounced their worldly possessions and dedicated them selves to the service of Christ and Christianity. Founded by Rev Selvaratnam (Peria annan / Big Brother), Rev Jesusagayam (China annan / Small brother) in the 1930’s, Sam annan, a third monk, joined the commune later. Since the three monks had passed away, it is now run by a joint council which consists of Anglican, Methodist and Church of South India. It also houses a Bible school.
