The Jerusalem Synagogue was built in 1905-1906 and has also been called the Jubilee Synagogue to the honor of the 50th anniversary of the coronation of Franz Joseph I to the Austrian Emperor at the time . It is an important example of Art Nouveau and stylisation of the Moorish style by architect Alois Richter.
