A popular place to launch your boat or fish, with a small park and some beach and mud flat access, depending on the tide. The docks on each side of the ramp are Free Fishing accesses; all other regulations apply, but a fishing license is not required as long as you are ON the dock.
On holiday weekends, opening and final days of various fishing seasons, and especially low tides, you may have to wait your turn to use the ramp.
Across the parking lot are the only public restrooms in Fields Landing. Bait and some other supplies are available at Mariners Market, about a quarter mile east.
The boat ramp may also serve as a wino trap, because a sozzled driver could easily drive through the end of Railroad Street, and straight into the briney drink. That's one way to get them off the road!
