It was located on the grounds of Exhibition Place (1955-2006) (Canadian National Exhibition), and was the joint home (1961-1993) of the NHL sponsored Hockey Hall of Fame, before the Hockey Hall's move to its present location in the downtown core. In 2006, the Hall of Fame museum closed and is currently looking to relocate to a new location. The building is being torn down to make room for the new National Soccer Stadium at Exhibition Place.
