Site of the Kenny Powers 1976 Super Jump attempt. Powers took off from an eight story high launch ramp in his one million dollar Lincoln Continental rocket car in an attempt to cross the one mile wide St. Lawrence River. The car broke up shortly after take-off and landed in the river breaking Powers' back.

  • This stunt was the dream and brain child of Canadian stunt man Ken Carter. You can see the whole ordeal unfold in the Canadian film: The Devil at Your Heels. Carter would later perish in another stunt: attempting to jump a pond at Westgate Speedway in Peterborough, Ontario in 1983.
