It is a beautiful village in VIRUDUNAGAR Dist. Her one famus school is avable that school name is "P.K.HR.SEC.SCHOOL". Most of the people are engaged in agriculture based works. Major agricultural crops include rice, cotton, pulses, Lemon etc. It surrounds with ponds and small hills. Nowadays, lack of rain fall during monsoon, brings bitterness to farmers. People are very hard working, well educated, brave and honest. This village serves as role model to many neighbouring villages. Mangudi - Meenachipuram is considered to be twin villages albeit they belong to different districts.
