Joydevpur Chourasta

This is an important crossroad of highways north to Dhaka. To its north is Mymensingh, a 200+ years old district town. Tangail and Jamuna bridge is towards west. Gazipur district headquarter it to the east (right). 'Chourasta' is the Bangla of crossroad.

Also, this place has historical significance. In 1971, our liberation war, this is the first place where the brave Bangalis first confronted northward move of bloody Pakistani invaders. A monument is placed inside the circle, its name is Jagroto Chourongi.
