Construction began on the building in 1929, just a month before the Wall Street Crash that triggered the Great Depression. Opening in 1930, the Art Deco skyscraper held the title as tallest building in Indiana until 1962 and the tallest building in Fort Wayne until 1970. Lincoln is currently home to local offices for Old National Bank.
