The Bořeň (German Borschen) is an igneous rocky hill (the largest surface phonolite unit in Central Europe) originated by the Tertiary volcanic activity. In the bottom part is partly overgrown with forest. National Nature Preserve since 1977th with protected area about 23,2 hectares.
