Among the nicest hardwood floor rinks in town. This rink has a very unique feature that patrons will never see or use. The main rink floor floats. The Oaks Park is in a location that has seen it's share of floods from the Willamette River. When a flood is looming, the rink floor can be released from the surrounding structure. Then when the water rises high enough, the floor can float to keep the hardwood high and dry. They place rental skates, electronic equipment, furniture and other items on the rink floor, to keep them dry as well.
