On of the steepest peak in Kashmir valley the Harmukh stands at 5142m and two of Kashmir's most beautiful mountain lakes the Gangabal and the Nund Kul sar are formed at its base by the waters formed by the melting of its glaciers. Most Recently the Haramukh peak was climbed by a local group of climbers from Alpine Adventurers on september 20th 2015. This was the first successful ascent to the eastern peak after nearly 3 decades.
