Petit Jean State Park contains a large number of National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) listings. There are 12 individually listed archeological sites whose exact locations are protected to prevent vandalism and deterioration of the sites. Additionally, there are 10 structures (mostly cabins and associated buildings) that have individual listings, as well as 3 historic districts made up mostly of trails, roadways and other infrastructure that were put in place by the Civilian Conservation Corps around the time of the park's founding.
