Ruins of the Teutonic Knights' castle

Ruiny Zamku Krzyżackiego
Built from middle the 13th to middle the 15th century. It had an unusual shape of a hoof. A massive octagonal tower dominated over the castle. The castle was taken and destroyed by the townspeople in 1454 during an uprising against the Teutonic Order Knights. Its only fully preserved element is the Gdanisko - a tower used in the past as a toilet.
