Bay Ridge is a neighborhood in the southwest corner of the New York City borough of Brooklyn, USA. It is bound by 65th Street on the north, Interstate 278 on the east, and the Belt Parkway-Shore Road on the west. The southern border is 86th Street. The portion below 86th Street is officially a separate neighborhood called Fort Hamilton, although unofficially it is often thought of as a sub-neighborhood part of Bay Ridge .

A small area east of I-278, bounded by 7th Avenue, is also part of Bay Ridge. Bay Ridge and Fort Hamilton both share the zip code of 11209. Bay Ridge is patrolled by the NYPD's 68th Precinct. It is served by Engine 241, Engine 242, and Ladder 109 of the New York City Fire Department.It has many schools like I.S.259, I.S.30, and P.S.102.
