fishing area, town

Small fishing town with origins dating back to a medieval monastery. The monks used to collect salt from the rocks on the shore. Now it's a growing town with an expanding population with its main industry being tourism (sadly just like the rest of Northumberland). Great place to live though and worth a visit even if it's just for the fish and chips!
