“Saint Joseph” Eastern Rite Catholic Church

Construction work began around 1920 – 1921 when Bishop Epifani Shanov and Father Yosif Radanov renovated the already existing building. Members of the Salesians of Don Bosco Roman Catholic religious order also serve here as priests. The temple is dedicated to Saint Joseph whose name it also bears. In 1956 the church ceased all religious activities and was converted into a kindergarten, but returned later on. The “Oasis“ Centre for Children and Youths was founded here and there are also a number of charities organized in partnership with the Kazanlak Municipality.
