  • Interestigly another place which is a favourite with the young and the elderly alike (besides the ornamental park). The Kali bari is widely popular for the well maintained lawns and superb Dahlias, and other seasonal flowers. The Mandir organises various cultural programmes and also an annual flower show. This was the venue for the first Durga Puja of the colony and is still among the most popular Pujas.
  • It is an ocean where precious pearls of knowledge are carefully colleced and then studded on the crowns (minds) of children with the intention of making them not only confident but also bold enough to face life and to help life... Manosij Banerjee (Science and Technology Teacher) Mo.9871634563
  • Please don't ever visit during Durga Pujas as we had very bad experience. We participated only because it was close to our house and Puja organisers came personally to collect donation for the Puja. Though we were given pass and were residents of the area when it cam to asking for an extra packet of Prasad after Pushpanjali the attitude was bad and I was even questioned where was my husband(as he had badly hurt his leg and was sitting elsewhere). During Bhog there was total chaos and after standing in queue for one hour I was left to be given only Khichri(nothing esle was left) and the Puja organisers were nicely eating away in a place reserved for them. It was after some protest that I was given the other eatables. In the night I still went to give the Puja materials for the late night Puja and was told that they would take it closer to the Puja time. It was difficult for me to come back so late in the night as I had walked from my house which is 20 mins from the Pandal(one way) twice already and was also tired as I had hardly anything to eat. Inspite of explaining this I was made to understand that the organisers were all tired and they had to eat something and then sleep as if they were doing us a big favor by organising the Puja. The experience I had was bad and not only me but apparently it seems a lot of residents have this complaint. So please, please it's my humble request don't ever go there and if you go please be ready for all the humiliation. Maybe it's a good idea to experience it once yourself.

  • I entirely agree with Ms Barnana. Actually the organizing puja committee members act like mafia during puja days. Basically these are the people who are frustrated both at office and at home. They get an opportunity to show their power at this point of time otherwise they will become psychiatric patient. After puja days are over try to observe their faces, even a beggar will look smart!
  • Dear Tanmay. I wish the minds of the residents of C.R.Park are as clean as the ornamental park or the kali mandir!

  • Dear Citizen, please visit the page Vasant Kunj Fire Tragedy and give your ideas and inputs on how to prevent such disasters in urban slums and re-build people's lives. Your inputs will be most valuable for rehabilitation of over 10,000 affected citizens. The affected citizens are looted by touts/jhuggi mafia groups. They need protection and care from the State Authorities.
