McBurney Park is a municipal park. It was formerly Kingston's main burial ground.
It is known locally as "skeleton park", it contains an unknown amount of human remains buried in what are often shallow graves below the park surface. The cemetery was closed in the 1890s and some remains were removed to other cemeteries in Kingston. The City of Kingston has a number of improvement plans for the park and surrounding streets as of 2007 for details see:
