  Vennala is a fast growing residential locale situated towards the north-eastern city limits of Kochi. It is located near the Edappally-Aroor bye-pass, about 6 km north-east of Vytilla. Ernakulam Medical Centre Hospital and Vennala Juma-ath Palli are the major landmarks of Vennala. Ernakulam Town Railway Station is 5 km to the west.

  In 2003, Vennala was a village located outside what was a small city at that time. Now, in 2012, Vennala is a major residential area in the future Metro city ,Kochi. The people living in that area have a big advantage. Nh 47 in their footsteps, Oberon mall, Gold Souk Grande and the upcoming Q1 Mall are located at walking distances. The Emmanuel Silks and the Lulu mall are 4 to 5 kms away. Railway stations and Kochi metro are located just a little bit far away. That is a problem in all other cities accross the globe. Chennai is a leading example.
