The runs in the Sevastopol bay near the middle of its northern shore. Flooded the sea mouth of the creek forms a beam to beam with the same title. On the history of the name of the balka, there is the version that it appeared similar to the name of New Holland in St. Petersburg - on the warehouse timber for the repair and construction of the ships created in the beam at the beginning of the XIX century. Interesting information on this regard can be found in the Black Sea sailing directions issued by the Black Sea Hydrographic Depot in 1851: "... near Inkerman Garden commander of the port, known as Gollandiya ("Holland")." Perhaps this information will be starting a new version of the origin of the name Holland.
