Sharr Hashomayin Synagogue was built in 1929 and is the oldest active synagogue in Windsor. It is also the largest Orthodox congregation in the Windsor Detroit area. The building was designed by A. Stuart Allaster and features three pairs of wooden entrance doors recessed in carved stone arches.
