Palmerston Hotels & Resorts and Cypriot partners are developing a spectacular site at Anatolikon near Paphos in Cyprus. Eléa Golf & Spa Resort is an integrated Golf Resort with an 18-hole Championship Golf Course designed by Nick Faldo. Included are full teaching and practice facilities, a state-of-the-art Clubhouse, Resort Village, Boutique Hotel & Spa, 200 luxury villas and over 100 luxury apartments - resulting in a first class Golf and Country Club facility.

The course is set in the hillside facing south with a view to the sea, and has been in the construction process since April 2007 under the control of Southern Golf who have a reputation for being Europe's leading construction company. The irrigation system, designed by Robin Hume Associates is a Rainbird satellite de-coder full irrigation system, and is the most advanced design to meet the demands of this arid climate. The Seashore paspalum (supreme) grass has been chosen as it is one of the most advanced grasses and ecologically friendly. Grown under licence from the USA this grass will be used throughout the golf course apart from the greens which are sown with A4 creeping bent grass. All greens have been constructed to USGA guidelines and the course is due to open in July 2010.

The golf course was the beginning of a five year development plan which has been followed by the construction of a 5000sq.m premier clubhouse, which will be completed by September 2010.
