Naupactus or Nafpaktos (Greek: Ναύπακτος, rarely Έπαχτος; Latin: Naupactus or Naupactos; Italian: Lèpanto), is a town and a former municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Nafpaktia, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It is the second largest town of Aetolia-Acarnania (after Agrinio), situated on a bay on the north side of the straits of Lepanto.
