BANGINGOD VILLAGE ( KAMPUNG)

As much as 20 resident family in this Kampung with residential population about 160 people. Population carrying out activity Penanaman Sawit, Pokok coconut and Aktiviti Nelayan. Villager get primary education in near low school namely SK. Bangingod has existed since year 1963 after Sabah's independence. Many village children bangingod that had continue will education until to international level although lack village life facility infrastructure public. Family really known in this village is Keluarga Ali Uban ( care Surau Bangingod) Jaani's family and Buk Itti and family other where villager having family close link among population.This area is has been explored before independence Malaysia and during British rule and Japan war where Kg's original settler.Bangingod comes from Philippines archipelago. Race occur at KG. this is Bajau's race and Suluk. Main language is Bahasa Bajau, Suluk and Malay.

Kg's original word bangingod is sparked off by villager in meeting they with government British. At that time, "Panggi" or tapioca was the source this village staple food. Nominate those this place suitable for Panggi's crop good. be population suggest village name to officers British as PanggiGood, but wrongly understood by that officer as Bangingod.
However, next version said villager kebanykkan hails from Banggi's Pulau yg have rather people population largest bajau in that time. Ubian's people is like bajau race travel ketempat other with sail and finding suitable area for Ubi's crop wood. To remember that large island, they still name this village as Banggingod as Anak Banggi's Pulau..
