This is a place rewarded by the famous emperor sri Raja Raja Narendra to the great well known Adikavi Nannayya impressed by his great poem.Even today you can see all the history in the "Nandampudi Sila Sasanam"which is still in the midst of the village.Many people who lives here has the talent of writing poetry inspired by the great Kavi.one of the outstanding personality fro this village is nawin v.kumar who is presently working as filmdirector,writer,music director.
