Founded in 1929 by Sam Freed, Freeds is Canada's largest independent men's retail clothier. Still family owned the company has grown from a 1,200 sq. ft. store on the south side of Ottawa Street to the present 55,000 sq. ft. building. Catering to customers on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border the store also includes a women's clothing section.
