A small facility owned and operated by the town of Los Altos Hills, together with the Los Altos Hills Horsemen's Association. The riding ring and baseball park were built on surplus state highway land that was apparently deeded from Palo Alto Unified School District to Los Altos Hills for recreational use only. The Los Altos Hills Horsemen's Association, previously a somewhat dormant organization, sprang into action at the threat to the ring, spiffed-up the location and scheduled regular organized equine events. The association built the ring in 1976, when the Hills was still in its horsey heyday.
