Once there was a Nampoothiri house here called vadakkinath mana (Illom).They were one of the Ooralans of old Indalayappan Kshethram at Parakkode . The other Ooralan was Pulinthanathu Illom Nampoothiri.Lord Parasurama brought these families from north. They were first settled in Mannadi and later came to Parakkodu.
