Circa 1707, Site of first grist mill on the Great Spring Creek. Was the home of Joshua Whitely owner of Whitely's Cottom Mill (1850 to 1927). Ruins of mill buildings are across the street on Sugan Road. Located in the "Springdale Historic District" of New Hope Borough. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Currently used as New Hope State Constable's Office.
