Darnytskyi District (Kiev)

The left-bank raion (district) of Kyiv. Darnytsya envoleved from the same-named village. It was first mentioned in written work around the year 1509. During that time, the river Darnytsya had flown here, hense the village (later-raion's) name - Darnytsia.

The modern Darnytskyi Raion (formal name) was founded in April of 1935 but his border changed.

Through the neighbourhood runs the Sviatoshyns'ko-Brovars'ka line of the Kiev Metro system and the middle and Syrec'ko-Pechers'ka line on south.
There will be second big railway station.
