In 1964-65, I attend the sixth grade at Travis. The year before, I had been tormented at Blackwell, Texas (see Blackwell, between Sweetwater and San Angelo for that), but in Abilene, I was popular. I had friends, girlfriends and things to do. Then we moved to Irving, Texas where I was tormented again once I reached high school. Thank you, Abilene!
