Solvang, California

Solvang is a city in Santa Barbara County, California. It had a population of 5,345 inhabitants at the 2010 census. It is a popular tourist site with location names predominantly in Danish, including Hans Christian Andersen Park, named after Danish fairytale author H. C. Andersen (born 2nd April 1805, died 4th August 1875).Works include "The Ugly Duckling" and "The EmperorĀ“s New Clothes". Solvang is Danish for Sunnyfield.
