RCA Dome (site) (Indianapolis, Indiana)

The RCA Dome was a 57,980-seat domed stadium that lived from 1984-2008. It was built at a cost of $82,000,000 as part of the Indiana Convention Center. It was originally known as the Hoosier Dome. The Indianapolis Colts played here from 1984-2007. The stadium hosted the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament in 1991, 1997, 2000, and 2006 and the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament in 2005. It also hosted the Bands of America Grand National Championship from 1984-1986 and again from 1989-2007. It also hosted the NBA All-Star Game in 1985, Wrestlemania VIII in 1992, the Closing Ceremonies of the 1987 Pan American Games.

It was replaced by Lucas Oil stadium and is being demolished in 2008/2009 to make room for an expansion of the Indiana Convention Center.
