Astor is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lake County, Florida, USA, located along the west bank of St. Johns River between Lake George and Lake Dexter. Astor sits within the eastern boundary of the Ocala National Forest, across the river from both the community of and county of Volusia.

Astor was called "Manhattan" when established in 1874 by William Backhouse Astor, Sr., of the prominient New York Astors. Upon his death 20 years later, the residents renamed the settlement in his honor. Astor was a bustling steamship port in the state's early years, but today is a quiet area popular for nearby fishing, hunting, and boating.

The population was 1,487 at the 2000 census, based on a total area of 2.5 sq mi (6.4 km2). Astor is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area.
