The Federal Ministry of Defence (German: Bundesministerium der Verteidigung) is a ministry in the German Cabinet. It is head quartered at Hardthöhe in Bonn and has a second office here in the Bendlerblock building in Berlin.
During peacetime the Federal Minister of Defence is the Commander-in-Chief of the Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces).
